It is good times for architects. Not just for the traditional architect, but also for creating new virtual worlds. Game-developers are creating new virtual worlds containing huge complex landscapes and buildings with very site specific features. These worlds also needs to be polished and thought through concerning both look, feel and playability. And it does not stop there. In this video the developers of a game called Red Faction talks about how new game platforms makes it possible to create worlds out of materials that have similar properties of real world materials. This is a strategy for making more dynamic and real life like worlds. And of course specially when you thing about how things are going to be destroyed. The people over at NRKbeta talked about a video lately. And, they are completely right! This is a really nice video about a man who knows his tricks on kitesurfing. The people behind the video has also made another video which is also wonderful. Don’t bother looking at the videos in the small flash player. Rather download the video in a higher format from the links on the pages. And at last, it has to be sad. Using that much Radiohead in the videos are just brilliant!
